The Archaeologist for Oklahoma Department of Transportation works under supervision within a five person team of subject matter experts in identification and National Register of Historic Places evaluation of archaeological resources. As authorized agents consulting with the State Historic Preservation Office and other consulting parties, the Archaeologist conducts evaluations of prehistoric and historic-period archaeological resources for transportation undertakings.
