Annual Meeting

The 68th Meeting of the Illinois Archaeological Survey will be hosted by the Illinois State Archaeological Survey at University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana on September 20-22, 2024. Join us Friday, September 20 for a welcome reception from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the new IDOT Curation Facility (1812 N. Federal Drive, Urbana, Suite 1/A). Beer, wine, and food will be provided!

The annual business meeting of the IAS will be held Saturday, September 21, at 9:00 a.m. at the I-Hotel and Illinois Conference Center, 1900 S 1st Street, Champaign. The business meeting will be followed by the award ceremony and paper presentations in the Quad Room. The award ceremony and paper presentations are open to the public and free of charge. Morning snacks and coffee will be provided. Lunch is on your own (see nearby restaurants below).  Parking at the I Hotel will be free during the meeting. A Sunday excursion to Collins Mound site near Danville is being planned.

Please submit your paper or poster title and abstract to IAS President Thomas Loebel (tjl2@illinois.edu). The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, September 11, 2023.
