Kentucky Heritage Council is hiring a Historic Preservation Coordinator

07/24/2019 10:37 AM | Anonymous member (Administrator)

The Kentucky Heritage Council is hiring a Historic Preservation Coordinator who primarily coordinates with Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the Office of Local Programs representatives to guide the work of professional cultural historic staff and other personnel in activities related to the National Historic Preservation Act.

Work tasks consist primarily of Section 106 review including the review of cultural historic reports, survey forms, project plans, participation in public meetings and consulting party meetings, and field visits to project areas with Transportation Cabinet staff. There will be occasional opportunities for field work, documentation of historic above-ground resources, and other research driven by the agency's needs and the applicant's interests. A typical work day is highly dynamic requiring the successful candidate to make decisions based on the shifting priorities of multiple projects.
